Do-it-yourself wooden box with sisal rings

Put a ring on it!

If you're tired of boring planted balcony boxes, you have to try this cute DIY with Dancing Pixies shade perennials! The stylish rings made of sisal rope enhance any planting arrangement and are also super easy to make yourself.

Dancing Pixies in a wooden box with sisal rings

Here's what you need:

1x Dancing Pixies
Hot glue
2x Metal rings, different sizes
Cardboard as a base
Wooden box/ balcony box
Plastic film, sisal rope
Potting soil

Step 1

Line the wooden box with plastic wrap and add potting soil to it, making sure the edges don't slide down.

Step 2

Plant the wooden box with Dancing Pixies in pink, red or white.

Step 3

Glue the sisal rope to the rings with hot glue. Depending on the thickness of the rope and the ring, one round of rope or two rounds of rope can be glued.

Step 4

Stick the finished rings on the edge between the foil and the wooden box. If you want to be on the safe side, you can also glue the rings in place.
